CONCLUSION

Thus the prototype model of Alpha Adaptive cylinder-oil control is developed. The experimental analysis is done and the result shows that the amount of lube oil injected varies proportional to the engine load and sulphur percentage in the fuel and cylinder wear condition. For the calculations and less complications, the model is made for four cylinder engine. This can be increased to a number of cylinders as per requirements. Various components like actual alpha lubricator unit, accumulator, high pressure servo pumps are missed out due to lack of funds and also complexity involved.

PROJECT TITLED “PROTOTYPE  OF ALPHA ADAPTIVE CLYINDER-OIL  CONTROL FOR MARINE DIESEL ENGINES” IS A PRODUCT OF THE INGENIOUS EFFORT DRAFTED OUT BY THE TWELEVE MEMBER GROUP OF CADETS UNDER THE  4 YEAR  BE - MARINE ENGG PROGRAMME (2004-2008) OF AMET UNIVERSITY,CHENNAI
